eLearning design - A reflection on reflecting

The method of teaching this course works brilliantly!

Three weeks ago I was feeling very overwhelmed by Assignment One. I had no idea how I was going to ever get it finished, and then how I was going to pass. Little did I know that the whole time I was reading, learning and completing all the activities I was analysing and evaluating the learning method that I was actually learning with at the time. Confused? It feels like I've been tricked into higher order thinking (in a good way).

While we I have been rushing through the content it's nice to sit back and reflect to realise that it is all coming together and that the content and the possible applications for that content are starting to make sense. What's more exciting is that we are responsible for our own learning and we have scaffolded our own journeys to learn in many different ways. This is the very essence of what we have been learning and applying with Learning Engagement Theory and Constructivism.

I believed the lecturers when they said this course would be challenging, and I believed them when they said it would be overwhelming but I never believed it when they said it would all come together and make sense by the end of week 2!

I feel really excited by what I have learnt in this course. I never imagined it to be this involved. It's been a challenging but really rewarding experience.
